I recently had my 2020 Toyota Yaris serviced here, and overall, I had a very good experience.
The inspection was thorough, and I really appreciated that they shared pictures and explained the results to me. Before carrying out any work, they clearly explained what needed to be done, provided the quote, and informed me about the prices. There were no surprises, which I really appreciated.
The staff were also very helpful, polite, friendly, and positive throughout the whole process.
One thing I felt could be improved is the pricing. I went for the basic service, which mainly included the basic inspection, engine oil top-up/change and essential checks, and I felt it was a little expensive for what was included. I also expected the car to be washed or cleaned as part of the service, but that wasn't included.
However, what I really liked was the turnaround time. In Dublin, it can be difficult to get your car serviced and get it back the same day, as many garages require appointments and may keep the car for a day or more. I dropped my car off at around 9 AM and had it back by around 5 PM on the same day, which was very convenient.
I've only just had the service done, so I'll drive the car over the next few days and see how it performs, but so far everything seems smooth.
Overall, a good experience with helpful staff, clear communication, a detailed inspection, and excellent same-day service. My only concern was that the basic service felt a little pricey for what was included.

Highly recommended! Professional and honest team.I had a tricky electrical issue with my Ford Mondeo MK5. The passenger side headlight was very dim (glowing like a sidelight), and the electronics were acting up. I needed a quick and reliable fix while in Dublin.I contacted Alex Auto Service (Blanchardstown), explained the issue, and they took the car in on the same day. The team immediately understood the problem. It took them about 3 hours of meticulous work because of the complex Ford bumper access, but they diagnosed it perfectly. The root cause was cheap Chinese LED bulbs installed by the previous owner, which messed up the ground wire and wiring harness. The mechanics replaced all the faulty LEDs with proper standard halogen bulbs, completely restored the wiring, and brought the headlights back to factory settings. Now everything works flawlessly, and the car is perfectly safe to drive at night.Great service, clear communication, and very reasonable pricing for the amount of work done. A huge thank you to the team! Will definitely come back.

I rarely leave reviews, but Alex Auto Service truly deserves one.
I first heard about the garage through a poster at Coolmine Football Club Verona, where my kids play. I noticed that Alex Auto Service sponsors the club, and that immediately caught my attention because it’s always great to see local businesses supporting grassroots sports and giving back to the community.
After bringing my car in, I was even more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the service was professional, honest, and genuinely customer-focused. Everything was explained clearly, there were no hidden surprises, and you could tell they take real pride in their work.
What stood out most to me is that Alex Auto Service is a family-run business that hasn’t forgotten the importance of supporting the local community. Instead of simply focusing on profits, they invest back into local clubs and young people, which says a lot about their values and character.
It’s refreshing to find a business that combines excellent workmanship with genuine community spirit. The team made me feel valued as a customer, and the quality of service exceeded my expectations.
I would highly recommend Alex Auto Service to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable garage. They’ve certainly earned a customer for life.

I had an excellent experience at this mechanic shop. The electrician was absolutely outstanding — knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly thorough. He quickly diagnosed and fixed an issue that other garages couldn’t figure out.
A special mention as well to Patrick and Romeo at the front desk — both were extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout the whole process. They made everything easy and kept me updated from start to finish.
Honest pricing, great customer service, and top-quality work all around. It’s hard to find a garage you can truly trust, but these guys definitely earned my confidence. Highly recommend!

Best mechanic shop I’ve dealt with — quick, efficient, and completely honest. Diagnosed the issue fast, fixed it properly, and pricing was fair with no upselling.
They also have the best electrician in Ireland on the team — genuinely a legendary level of skill. You can tell straight away he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Professional, reliable, and top-quality service all around. Highly recommended.

Got a dashcam fitted last week. I dealt with Patrick, who was very prompt in replying to emails. Everything was so straightforward with them and no messing. Excellent service and would definitely go to them again. And they have one of the most impressive waiting areas I've ever seen!

I would highly recommend Alex Autos. I’ve left my car in several times and am always very happy with their professionalism and the standard of work carried out on my car.
I have dealt with Alex himself who is always happy to talk me through and advise on any issues. Patrick who works in reception is so courteous and genuine. He is very trustworthy and takes great time with his customers in detailing the work needed to be carried out.
There’s a nice clean waiting room with TV, toys and a fish tank much to the delight of my young son.
The inside of the car is always pristine after the work.
