Terms and Conditions of Service – Alex Autoservice Ltd
1. General
1.1 These terms and conditions govern all services provided by Alex Auto Service Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”).
1.2 By engaging in our services you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.

2. Estimates and Quotations
2.1 All estimates are provided based on an initial inspection and are subject to change if additional faults or required work are identified.
2.2 We will make reasonable efforts to inform you of any significant changes before proceeding.
2.3 Quotations / estimates are valid for a limited period as specified and may be subject to parts availability and price fluctuations.
2.4 Any estimate provided (whether verbal, written or otherwise) before the vehicle is on our premises and inspected by us is to be used as a guideline only and is subject to change once we have had the opportunity to carry out any relevant inspections.

3. Diagnostics and Repairs
3.1 All diagnostics, assessments and recommendations are based solely on the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.
3.2 Vehicles are complex mechanical systems and faults may develop or become apparent after initial inspection or repair.
3.3 We do not guarantee that all faults will be identified during any inspection or diagnostic process.

4. Limitation of Liability
4.1 To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, we shall not be liable for any loss, damage or additional faults arising after the completion of our services.
4.2 We accept no liability for issues that develop as a result of normal wear and tear, pre-existing conditions or the ongoing use of the vehicle.
4.3 We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of earnings, or inconvenience.
4.4 Any liability, where it cannot be excluded by law, shall be limited to the value of the services provided.
4.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 You must provide accurate and complete information regarding the vehicle, its history and any known issues.
5.2 You agree to remove all personal belongings from the vehicle. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.
5.3 You must ensure the vehicle is roadworthy unless disclosed otherwise.
5.4 You must disconnect any recording devices before arrival, this is private property and our employees have a right to privacy.

6. Parts and Materials
6.1 Parts used may be new, reconditioned, or sourced from third-party suppliers unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 We are not the manufacturer of parts and accept no liability for defects arising from third-party components, beyond any applicable warranty.
6.3 Any warranties on parts are subject to the terms of the manufacturer or supplier.

7. Payment Terms
7.1 Full payment is due upon completion of the work and must be made before the vehicle can be handed back to you.
7.2 We reserve the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment has been received in full (lien).
7.3 Failure to make payment may result in additional charges and/or legal action.

8. Vehicle Collection and Storage
8.1 You will be notified when your vehicle is ready for collection.
8.2 Vehicles must be collected within the agreed timeframe or if none is specified, within 3 working days of notification.
8.3 A storage fee of €20 per day will be charged for any vehicle not collected within an agreed period.
8.4 We reserve the right to take further action including disposal of the vehicle in accordance with any applicable law if a vehicle is not collected within a reasonable time and payment remains outstanding.

9. Delays and Force Majeure
9.1 We shall not be liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to parts availability, supplier delays, or unforeseen technical issues.

10. Test Drives
10.1 Vehicles may be driven on public roads for diagnostic and testing purposes.
10.2 You confirm that the vehicle is insured for such use unless otherwise agreed.
10.3 You ensure that any toll costs will be covered by you as part of any of our road tests.

11. Complaints and Disputes
11.1 Any complaints must be raised as soon as reasonably possible after the issue arises.
11.2 We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes promptly and fairly.

12. Amendments
12.1 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will apply to all services provided.

13. Severability
13.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
